It looks like the coaches have been chosen for the next season of UFC Ultimate Fighter (season 6). Who better to coach this group of welterweight fighters than the current welterweight champion, Matt "The Terror" Serra and one of the greatest welterweights of all time, Matt Hughes.

These two really dislike each other, so it should be an interesting season.

These two have never met in the ring, but they do have some opponents in common:

Matt Serra vs BJ Penn (BJ Penn wins close decision)
Matt Hughes vs BJ Penn (Hughes won one, lost one)

Matt Serra vs Georges St Pierre (Matt Serra wins by TKO)
Matt Hughes vs Georges St Pierre( Hughes won one, lost one)

So if we use the extremely inaccurate method of fights for and against, it looks like a good matchup. I'd rather compare strength vs strengh though:

Striking: After the Matt Serra Georges St Pierre fight, I put striking at dead even.
Grappling: This one is tough, from the top position, Matt Hughes is superior, from the bottom Matt Serra is better.

Take downs: are in Hughes favour, but only slightly as Serra has a nice inside trip take down, while Hughes prefers to pick up his opponent and put them down.

Strength: Both of these guys are strong, but Hughes is naturally bigger. Advantage Hughes.

April may very well have been the most active month in MMA history with big fights from Pride, UFC (3 cards) and BoDog. Highlights from April so far:

- Sanchez de-mythed (Josh Koscheck makes it look easy with a perfect game plan).
- St Pierre de-throned (Matt Serra takes the fight to Georges St Pierre, and wins).
- Fedor de-fects (at least for one bout...to BoDog).

Is the next headline Gonzaga de-headed? The final card in April features Mirko Cro Cop, Andrei Arlovski and Michael Bisping among others...and it's free, next Saturday on Spike TV!
