What are a few Self Defence Martial arts?

I want to learn a self defence like Aikido or Hapkido are there any others like it?

Aikido and Hapkido while based on the same art of Aikijujitsu are very different in philosophy and technique. Hapkido uses much more striking and kicking than Aikido. The things that are the same are the priniciples of non resistance and some of the jointlocking. Hapkido is more geared to self defense and is used by Korean military and law enforcement. So it is more well rounded than Aikido in those those aspects. Similar arts to those are Aiki-Jujitsu, Kajukembo, Shorinji ryu Kempo. The common link to those arts is that they utilize circular movement, non resistance, redirection and joint locking. Striking and kicking is basically universal in all arts. Emphasis on what is more specified is up to the school master. Some schools like mine which is a Hapkido school do much more grappling than any of the other Hapkido schools in my general area. Point is every school whether it be with in the art or not have their suttle differences. You have to research and visit the different places and see what they do to find out if you may like it or not.
